What is your medical specialty?
Family practice. I’m board certified through the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Where did you go to school?
I’m a local girl! I graduated from Russellville High School, then went to Arkansas Tech. I went to medical school at UAMS and did my residency in Springfield, MO.
What is your work history? How long/where have you been practicing?
I graduated residency in 2015 and have been working in Dardanelle ever since.
Why did you choose this profession?
Medicine combines my interest in science and a healthy lifestyle, all while helping people solve problems daily. During this process, I get to develop relationships with my patients. I love it!
What do you enjoy most about your job and why?
My patients! I love being a part of the progress my patients make and their health, whether that be seeing the m get better from an illness or quitting smoking. I love the relationships that are made with my patients, as well as the medical puzzles they bring to me daily.
What is the best part about working in the Dardanelle community?
The people. There’s a comradery between the residents, who are always willing to lend a hand to help each other during challenging times.
Tell us about your family.
My husband, Eric and I have been together since high school. We have a rambunctious toddler named Emmett, and we live on a farm that includes cattle, horses, miniature donkeys, laying hens, and ducks.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I have a toddler and work full time so I don’t get much free time! But when I do I enjoy exercising and riding horses.
