Dardanelle Regional Recognizes Linda Bankston and Jason Heaggans with Bee Award
Dardanelle Regional Medical Center recently recognized Linda Bankston and Jason Heaggans as recipients of the Bee Award for their extraordinary compassion, teamwork, and dedication to patient care.
The Bee Award honors non-nursing team members who go above and beyond in serving patients, families, and the community. Linda and Jason were nominated after helping a woman safely return home to Washington state after unknowingly traveling across multiple states by bus while confused and alone.
Working alongside hospital staff, Adult Protective Services, local leaders, 100 Families, and community partners, they coordinated transportation, arranged accommodations for the patient’s dog, and ensured support was in place throughout her journey home.
Jason Heaggans, the hospital’s discharge planner, personally transported the patient to the airport and assisted her with boarding, while social worker Linda Bankston coordinated resources and support awaiting the patient upon arrival in Washington.
Their efforts reflect the compassion, persistence, and community-centered care recognized through the Bee Award and demonstrated every day at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center.
