Megan Smith, a scheduling clerk in Admissions and the latest winner of the Be Exceptional Everyday (BEE) award at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center, knows how to make a positive impression on patients.
She is known for her warm smile and creating a calm, professional environment.
“Megan is often the first line of communication for patients who undergo testing here. She provides a warm greeting, clear instructions, a calm environment, and is very willing to accommodate patients’ schedule conflicts if needed,” according to an anonymous BEE nomination.
It continued, “Megan treats patients with kindness and understanding as she helps with paperwork. Megan has always gone above and beyond to help patients and employees. She is patient and kind and will always complete tasks in a timely manner.”
The award recognizes non-nursing employees at Dardanelle Regional who demonstrate exemplary service and care for patients, families and co-workers. The DAISY award recognizes nurses for exemplary care.
